      The Africa Charter is, arguably, many things at once: a claim-making instrument, a rallying point, an analytical or conceptual frame, an agenda for practice and perhaps others. Here we explore which aspects of the Charter are viewed or experienced as most useful, or purposive across the Community.

        I agree with you that the concentric circle is one of the major contributions to thinking collaborations and will change the nature of cooperation in the foreseeable future. I also think the idea of transformative, even though difficult to understand at first is exactly what it offers – the intentionality of acting.

      The Charter’s focus on linking inequalities in the knowledge production ecosystem with other aspects of socio-economic inequalities at the global level and in the case of Africa is an important line for further inquiry.
