In conjunction with colleagues in the Coimbra Group of Universities Global Partnerships Working Group, we brought together an open network of over 100 researchers and research managers from across 19 European countries, seeking to work with the Africa Charter for Transformative Research Collaborations and to join forces in developing collective funding proposals and other initiatives.
During the autumn, Isabella Aboderin spoke at several high-level HEI events in Belgium, Germany, Norway and the UK. Isabella Aboderin, Director of the Perivoli Africa Research Institute (PARC), member of the Africa Charter Core Facilitating Team, was appointed to represent the University of Bristol in the Coimbra Group of Universities Global Partnerships Working Group.
Engagements included the symposium Africa-Europe Research Collaborations, organised by the University of Bergen (UiB) and Coimbra Group, in collaboration with the Southern African – Nordic Centre (SANORD) at UiB and Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, held on 3 December 2026.
