On 21st September, Professor Isabella Aboderin, Director of the University of Bristol Perivoli Africa Research Centre (PARC) and member of the Africa Charter Core Facilitating Team, discussed the paper of Prof. Dr Nelius Boshoff and Dr Similo Ngwenya (Centre for Research on Evaluation, Science and Technology (CREST) at Stellenbosch University, South Africa) on the relationship between open science and international collaboration in Africa. The Berlin University Alliance event, titled “International collaborations between and with African researchers: What role for Open Science?“, took place at the Robert K. Merton Center for Science Studies (RMZ) at Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany.
